We all know that EV vehicles are the future, and right now we’re in the middle of a ‘landgrab’, where smart and savvy business and land owners are saying ‘yes’ to electric vehicle chargers, knowing that in the coming years, that decision will prove to be one of the smartest they ever made.
Think about it – in March 2022, electric vehicles made up 16.1% of all new registrations.
And that number will increase year on year, until 2030, when it’ll be 100%.
That’s a lot of electric cars, and – right now – the simple truth is we don’t have the infrastructure to charge all those cars.
But we’ll get there. And when you get in now, installing an electric charger at your premises, you become a go-to destination for EV drivers both now and in the future.
Simple. We need the land. If you can supply it, we can both reap the benefits.
We pay you rent at £1,000 per space, per year, but that’s not where it ends.
Over the last couple of years, we’ve installed 40,000 chargers all over Europe, and many in several London boroughs, and the analysis shows that consumers spend an average of £21 in local amenities while their car is charging.
Add that up over the year, and that’s A LOT of additional revenue for your business.
Clearly the money for us is in the long-term revenue generated by the charging point, so we pay for EVERYTHING – the planning, construction, operation and maintenance.
If you were attempting to do it yourself, you could be looking at a six figure sum (plus hassle, time and stress), but we’ll take care of everything, leaving you free to concentrate on dealing with the increased level of business your charging point brings your way.
Not ones that actually charge cars at any pace.
You might see chargers at supermarkets and local shops, and some of them might even be free.
They also operate at a snail’s pace – 8kW chargers will take 12 or so hours to charge a car, and even 50 kW chargers take four hours.
Put simply, that’s not quick enough. And it can’t sustain us in a future where everyone needs to charge their car.
The 300kW chargers we install will charge a car up to 80% in 15 minutes (and for context, those Tesla chargers you see at the service stations take 35).
The reality is that right now, the charging infrastructure isn’t fit for purpose, and will evolve swiftly towards these superfast chargers.
If you’ve already got them, and you’ve got customers using them, you’re in the boxseat.
Our client had plenty of car parking and wanted to be at the forefront of the EV revolution.
…we should definitely talk, because the chances are your site will be perfect for EV charging.
We’ve installed chargers in a whole range of business car parks, from hotels to pubs, airports to car washes, and golf clubs to garden centres.
As mentioned above, EV adoption is increasingly rapidly, and when we get to 2030, purchases of all non-electric vehicles will have been completely phased out.
Over the next eight years, the entire infrastructure will change, with fewer petrol stations and more electric charging points.
Which means that now is a bit of a ‘land grab’.
You see, right now, the National Grid can only support a limited number of superfast charging sites within each geographical area.
Which means that when you get your chargers installed, your competitor down the road is unlikely to be able to follow suit.
You’ll effectively have closed down their EV opportunity, and created a benefit in your business that they just can’t match.
